Packers' OL Barclay Suffers Torn ACL

Packers 3rd year offensive lineman Don Barclay suffered a torn right ACL in practice on Tuesday.

It happened right in front of coach Mike McCarthy. He described the play as a "compromised situation" that led to the injury.

Barclay started 14 games last season. He was expected to be the swing lineman, the primary backup at both guard positions and right tackle.

That will now fall on the shoulders of 2011 first round draft pick Derek Sherrod. Sherrod has played in just 12 games his first three season with no starts. He missed all of 2012 after a severe leg injury late in 2011.
