Miller Wins Seniors Title, Mabie Women's Champ Again
Rheba Mabie is no stranger to success at the NC7 Women's Classic. She has now won 9 titles at the event. This one might have been her biggest challenge yet.
After 9 holes, Mabie trailed Jackie Miles by four strokes. Maybe shot a 44 on the front, before charging back to win on the final hole of the day. Mabie shot an 82, defeating Miles by one stroke.
Rick Miller dominated his home course, Bull's Eye Country Club, Thursday in the first round of the Newschannel 7 Golf Classic Seniors division. Miller shot a 68, which put him six shots ahead of the pack.
Miller ended up struggling in round two of the Seniors Classic. He shot a 77, but was still able to win comfortably, four shots ahead of second place.
