Ellis Opts For Free Agency

Monta Ellis has opted out of the final year of his contract with the Bucks, worth $11-million.

The Bucks offered the guard a 2-year contract with $25-million last fall, giving him 36-million over 3 years. But he decided against it.

Ellis led the Bucks in scoring last season, averaging 19.2 points, to go with 6 assists and 2.1 steals. He finished the season ranked 11th in the league in scoring.
