Green Bay Packers All-Pro linebacker and Super Bowl champion Clay Matthews will join CBS Sports as a contributing analyst on the CBS Television Network’s Super Bowl pre-game show on February 3.

Matthews joins host James Brown, Dan Marino, Bill Cowher, Shannon Sharpe and Boomer Esiason, along with Greg Gumbel for the Network’s coverage of Super Bowl XLVII from New Orleans, La.

This season Matthews ranked fifth in the NFL with 13 sacks and was voted to the Pro Bowl for the fourth consecutive time despite missing four games due to injury.

He became the first Packer in franchise history to earn Pro Bowl recognition in each of his first four seasons in the league. Matthews received first-team All-Pro honors from The Associated Press in 2010 and was named second-team All-Pro this season by the AP. He led the Packers to the Super Bowl XLV title in 2011 as Green Bay defeated Pittsburgh, 31-25. Matthews has registered 42.5 sacks since entering the NFL in 2009, which ranks him fifth in the NFL over that span.
