Central Wisconsin Storm, Wisconsin Rapids Advance To State

The Central Wisconsin Storm advance to state for the fifth straight year, defeating Northland Pines 4-1 in Tomahawk on Friday.

The Storm will play their state semi-final Friday at noon against Onalaska. It is a matchup between the first and third ranked teams in the state.

Rapids won for second straight game, defeating West Salem/Bangor 3-0 to advance to state for the first time since 2010.

Rapids will play in quarterfinals Thursday, Feb. 28 against either Green Bay Notre Dame or Appleton CO-OP.
