An RBI single by Sean Gerber (Stoughton, WI/Stoughton) in the first and a Clint Rose (Watertown, WI/Watertown) RBI double in the second gave the Pointers a 2-0 lead. The offense plated two more runs in the fifth with a Ryan Schilter (West Bend, WI/West) home run, his ninth of the season, and another in the sixth to take the 5-1 advantage.
Herbst allowed just six hits on the afternoon, striking out four on his way to improving his record to 8-1 on the year.

Clint Rose (Watertown, WI/Watertown) added another RBI hit in the seventh to push the UWSP lead to 9-1 after seven. Another run in the ninth by the Pointers sealed the nine-run victory.
