"She (Urilla Judell) was a beautiful energetic bubbly girl," said Prentice cross country coach Lisa Enders.

"She (Morgan Dering) had a twinkle in her eye, she was a schemer, she was a prankster, and she made people laugh," Buccaneers volleyball coach Mike Murphy said.

The loss of Urilla Judell and Morgan Dering devastated the community of Prentice.

"It was just....you're in disbelief, because she was just at practice that night," Enders said.

In the days since, the teams the two girls took part in have have found ways to pull together and grieve the loss by honoring their fallen teammates.

"We're going to carry her jersey with us all season. It'll be on the chairs," said Murphy.

And since the days of the accident, Students at school and all of the people of Prentice have leaned on each other for support.

Said Murphy, "I think its shown how close this town really is, because the parents have opened the doors to the kids, and everyone is grieving together."

Communities from all over northcentral Wisconsin have helped with the grieving process; sending gifts and gestures of sympathy to the Prentice community.

"We missed a tournament in Auburndale and last week we got a poster signed by all of the players that played in the volleyball tournament," said Murphy.

"Phillips is a really strong xc team and for them to go to the copper falls meet and run together in honor of Urilla was phenomenal," Enders said, about the Phillips cross country team paying tribute to the passing of Judell.

Honoring the fallen two who in life...and death...were inseparable.

"They were best friends, they were always together," said Enders.

An eternal friendship that personifies the unity between a school, a town and all of northcentral Wisconsin.
