HOUSTON (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers had to settle for second best in last night's game at Houston.
And it put them in second place in the Central Division because the Chicago Cubs beat Cincinnati to move into first, a game ahead of Milwaukee.
The Astros' Hunter Pence singled home the winning run off Matt Wise in the 10th inning to give Houston the 5-4 win.
Rickie Weeks hit a two-run homer in the ninth off Astros closer Brad Lidge to tie it at 4-4 and force extra innings.
Lidge blew the save but pitched a perfect 10th to get the win.
Carlos Lee homered and hit an RBI single for the Astros, who won for just the fifth time in 18 games against Milwaukee this year.
Milwaukee opens a four-game series in Atlanta tonight.
The Cubs are idle, then host Pittsburgh over the weekend.
The Cubs' remaining nine games are all against teams with losing records.
