Doyle Meets with Bucks' Draft Pick

BEIJING (AP) -- Governor Doyle met with the Milwaukee Bucks' first-round draft pick while touring some of the Olympic sites in Beijing, China.

Doyle says he looks forward to the attention the state will get from China when Yi Jianlian joins the Bucks.

The governor is highlighting contributions from Wisconsin companies to the 2008 Olympic Games and Shanghai World Expo in 2010.

Doyle visited the Capital Gym and the National Training Center in Beijing, key Olympic sites that have been built using Wisconsin products.

Robbins Sport Surfaces of White Lake in Langlade County provided the maple flooring for the Capital Gym in Beijing and Nanjing Sports Centre.

Aecer Flooring of Peshtigo made and installed the wood floor for the National Training Center in Beijing, the exclusive training location for the Chinese national team.

Manitowoc Company cranes are being used in construction projects for the 2008 Games.

And, Oshkosh Truck is providing six emergency response vehicles for the Beijing Capital International Airport in preparation for the 2008 Games.
