GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Backup quarterback David Garrard led the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 21-13 preseason victory over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field last night.
The Packers lost for the first time after two preseason wins, and they may have lost much more after having top receiver Donald Driver go out with an injury to his right foot.
Coach Mike McCarthy says it's been initially diagnosed as a foot sprain.
The Jaguars' offense woke up when Garrard entered the game early in the third quarter.
Playing against the Packers' second-string defense, Garrard played two series and led the Jaguars to two touchdowns.
Brett Favre and the Packers' first-string offense got off to a slow start due in part to shaky play from two of their most important rookies, wide receiver James Jones and running back Brandon Jackson.
But both did better later in the game.
Backup Aaron Rodgers later led the Packers on a 9-play, 73-yard drive, ending with a 1-yard touchdown run by Jackson.
