PHOENIX (AP) -- Brandon Webb's shutout streak ended, but his Arizona Diamondbacks won anyway last night.
The Arizona ace gave up two runs in seven innings, stopping his scoreless string at 42 innings, but he still won his sixth consecutive start to lead the Diamondbacks past the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2.
The Diamondbacks got the game-winning run with a rally in the seventh inning off Brewers starter Jeff Suppan, whose record now is 8-11.
He hasn't had a win since early June.
The Brewers had been going for a series sweep.
They slipped a game behind the first-place Chicago Cubs in the National League's Central Division.
The Cubs beat San Francisco 4-2 last night in 10 innings.
