PHOENIX (AP) -- Prince Fielder homered for the second straight day and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-0 last night to move into a tie for the lead in the National League's Central Division.
Fielder drove in four runs and Bill Hall hit a three-run homer for the Brewers, who won for only the second time in eight games to pull even with the Chicago Cubs in the division standings.
Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo struck out six in six innings and hit his first major league homer.
Reserve infielder Jeff Cirillo pitched a scoreless ninth for the NL West-leading Diamondbacks, who lost consecutive games for just the third time since the All-Star break.
Cirillo walked two and struck out one.
