GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers are cutting ties with wide receiver Robert Ferguson whose time in Green Bay has been marred by a long series of injuries.
Coach Mike McCarthy says the team has made the decision, but he's not saying exactly how it will be accomplished.
He says a trade of the seven-year veteran is possible.
The team also could release him, although he's under contract through 2008.
McCarthy made the announcement after last night's practice.
Ferguson was a second-round selection of the Packers in the 2001 draft.
