GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Bubba Franks was back at practice and was wearing a shield under his face mask to provide additional protection for his injured eye.
Franks says he doesn't like the mask, but he has no choice.
The veteran tight end scratched his eye last week and isn't sure how long he'll have to wear the shield.
Franks says doctors told him it would be a good thing to get poked in the eye again.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy says he hopes Franks will be able to shed the shield before the season starts.
