GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers want more production out of their tight ends this season.

But first they'll need enough players at the position - a growing concern after a tough start to the pre-season this weekend.

Tory Humphrey broke his left ankle in practice Saturday.

Yesterday morning fellow backups Zac Alcorn and Clark Harris succumbed to heat-related cramping toward the end of the practice.

Bubba Franks has been the starter since his rookie season in 2000.

He was held out of yesterday's morning practice because he's being limited to one a day.

That left Donald Lee as the only tight end to head coach Mike McCarthy, who ended the morning practice early.

Franks was officially demoted to Number Two on the depth chart behind Lee when training camp opened.

Team officials say they're expecting Franks to be better this year after a mediocre season last year.
