The Milwaukee Bucks drafted chinese sensation Yi Jianlian a few days ago, who didn't want to play in Milwaukee, and didn't allow the Bucks to attend a private workout.
At first I thought, what a stupid move by the Bucks. But now
that I've had more time to think about it, good for the Bucks.
These young kids need to learn it's the NBA Draft, not "draft the NBA."
Florida's Joakim Noah told the Bucks to not draft him, and unfortunately they listened.
Eli manning did it to the Chargers in the NFL. The Bolts still drafted him then accomadated the spoiled brat by trading him to the Giants.
It's time these players stop demanding where and who they will play for and just consider it a privilege for the opportunity.
They should get their hiney in the league, impress everyone, and go elsewhere when their contract expires.
John Smith doesn't get to enlist in the military with the stipulation that he won't go to Iraq.
Owner Herb Kohl has even sent a letter to Yi to convince him to play with his Bucks.
Hopefully the Bucks will stand their ground and make him play with them, otherwise he can stay in China.
Which would not break my heart at all after this mess.
What are your thoughts on the whole Yi and Bucks situation? Shoot me an e-mail, I'd like to hear from you.
