GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers are adding permanent barriers around part of Lambeau Field because of an N-F-L mandate that teams to improve security on game days.
The concrete barriers will be placed around about half of the stadium, from the loading docks in the back, around the west side and up to the ticket office. On game day temporary barriers will be placed in front of the atrium.
The Packers will use the Stadium District's capital improvement fund to pay for the one (M) million dollar project.
The new barriers will be in place in time for the Packers first home pre-season game.
