GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Former Green Bay Packers linebacker George Koonce loves being around athletics.
He's remained with the team as director of player development.
Now Koonce plans to move on to another job in athletics.
He'll join Marquette University as associate athletic director.
The 38-year-old Koonce started 102 of 112 games over eight seasons for the Packers, from 1992 to 1999.
He played his last season with the Seattle Seahawks in 2000.
He returned to his alma mater, East Carolina, to get his master's degree in sports management.
Koonce's job also involves fundraising for Marquette's athletic program.
