MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Brewers pitcher Brian Shouse screamed at catcher Damian Miller in the sixth inning of yesterday's game, trying to alert him that a second Giants runner was racing home.
But with the crowd roaring, Miller couldn't hear him.
Instead, it was a front-row fan who got the message through.
Miller had run near the third-base dugout to retrieve a throw, and that's when he heard the fan hollering "home, home, home."
He got the word in time to throw to Shouse for the tag out at home.
That kept the Giants from tying the game, and the Brewers went on to win.
