MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Cubs rolled into town last night and Alfonso Soriano had five hits to lead Chicago to a series opening victory over the Brewers.

The 7-2 win was the second in a row for the Cubs since manager Lou Piniella was ejected over the weekend in Chicago after a dirt-kicking tantrum against an umpire.

Piniella won't manage the entire series due to a four-game suspension.

Instead, he watched the game with general manager Jim Hendry in a suite at Miller Park while bench coach Alan Trammell called the shots.

Brewers starter Dave Bush had a 2-1 lead heading into the seventh, but failed to get out of the inning as Chicago put up five runs to take the lead and put the game out of reach.

Prince Fielder hit his 20th homer for the Brewers.
