GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (AP) -- Perry Schatzow hit an infield single to drive in the winning run today as Kean University of New Jersey beat Emory University of Georgia 5-4 in 10 innings for the NCAA Division Three baseball title at Grand Chute.
Kean, which was making its first appearance in the tournament, did not lose a game in the double-elimination event, and finished the season with a 43-8 record.
Emory had a 43-10 mark.
Jordan Zimmerman of Auburndale became the first player in the history of the tournament to win the award and not play in the championship game.
