LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Brad Penny stranded six runners in scoring position through seven scoreless innings to help the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 in L.A. last night.
Russell Martin tied a career high by driving in four runs for the Dodgers.
Penny, now 6-1, rebounded nicely from his worst outing of the season, scattering six hits after giving up eight runs against the Angels last Friday.
Joe Beimel pitched the eighth and gave up an RBI single by the Brewers' Bill Hall.
Chris Capuano, now 5-3, lost his third straight start, allowing four runs and eight hits over four innings with no walks and four strikeouts.
