Favre Tells Paper He Plans to Skip Packers' Mandatory Minicamp

UNDATED (AP) -- Brett Favre plans to skip the Green Bay Packers' mandatory minicamp this weekend.

But, he says it's not related to his frustration with the team's front office.

Favre told the Biloxi Sun-Herald that because he's unable to practice while recovering from offseason ankle surgery, he's going to stay home with his family in Mississippi.

Favre's oldest daughter Brittany is graduating from high school on May 25 and he wants to be around for graduation parties and banquets.

The MVP quarterback says he isn't skipping the minicamp as a protest over the team's unwillingness to complete a trade for wide receiver Randy Moss.
