MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The numbers could be lining up in favor of the Brewers.
Records show that every 25 years, a Milwaukee team reaches the World Series.
It happened in 1957 when the Braves won the championship.
The Brewers did it 25 years later, in 1982, but lost to the St. Louis Cardinals.
Brewers infielder Craig Counsell says the numbers can't tell the complete story, because the key thing in baseball is talent.
Milwaukee general manager Doug Melvin sees similarities between this year's Brewers and the team in 1982.
But he also says he's more focused on building a team to take a run at the World Series for a few years, not as a one-year deal.
