MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Former Milwaukee Braves players Eddie Mathews and Warren Spahn and former Braves General Manager John Quinn will be inducted into the Miller Park Walk of Fame this year.
It's the first year that former Milwaukee Braves players, managers and personnel were included in voting for the Walk of Fame.
Executive Vice President Rick Schlesinger says the induction is a fitting tribute, given the 50th anniversary of the Braves' World Series title.
The families of Mathews, Quinn and Spahn will participate in an on-field ceremony at Miller Park on Friday, August 31 as the Brewers unveil the newest plaques on the Walk of Fame.
The voting panel for the Walk of Fame includes media members from throughout Wisconsin as well as Milwaukee Brewers executives.
