MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Ben Sheets is expected to make his next scheduled start after having an MRI on his strained right groin muscle this morning.
Sheets left yesterday's game against the Chicago Cubs in the bottom of the third inning after reaching down to tag out Ryan Theriot at third base.
The team said Sheets visited head team physician Dr. William Raasch in Milwaukee today and underwent an MRI, which confirmed a strained right groin.
Sheets, who reported that he was feeling much better, underwent treatment and is expected to rejoin the team tomorrow in Houston.
He is listed as probable for his next scheduled start against St. Louis at Miller Park on Tuesday.
Sheets has made only 39 starts over the past two seasons because of nagging shoulder and back injuries.
