ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The St. Louis Cardinals are to present Milwaukee Brewers' pitcher Jeff Suppan with a 2006 World Series championship ring tonight before the teams' game at Busch Stadium.

He was the most valuable player for the Cards in the National League Championship Series last year against the New York Mets.

He held them to one run in 15 innings in his two starts.

But St. Louis later lost Suppan to Milwaukee through free agency.

He's still looking for his first victory as a Brewer.

Suppan's 0-2 with a 4.15 earned run average after two starts.

He's not scheduled to pitch tonight.
