MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers are off today before a weekend series at home against the Chicago Cubs.
Jeff Suppan's pitching debut with the Brewers was spoiled by a 5-to-4 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers last night.
Suppan kept the game close by limiting the Dodgers to two runs in seven innings.
A parade of relievers that followed Dodgers starter Jason Schmidt gave the Brewers some opportunities to win, but they couldn't get it done.
