MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers are hoping the pieces are in place to start a winning tradition in Milwaukee.
It all begins today with the 2007 season opener at Miller Park.
Mark Attanasio is in his third season as principal owner.
He's worked to make the Brewers a playoff contender.
This season, the team's payroll will be about $68 million.
Revenue sharing last year was approximately $23 million and will be higher this year.
By contrast, the defending World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals are expected to have a payroll of about $100 million.
