Brewers Host Season Opener for Second Straight Year

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers open the season at home for the second straight year.

The Brewers opening homestand includes six games in seven days, first against Los Angeles and then a weekend series against the division rival Chicago Cubs.

The last time the Brewers opened the season at home in back-to-back seasons was during in 1994 and 1995.

The Brewers will host a free "On Deck" event this Sunday at Miller Park.

From noon to two, eight stations will be set up around the ballpark where players will be signing autographs.
