MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The Wisconsin women's basketball team is going to the championship game of the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
Jolene Anderson scored 26 points and Janese Banks added 23 last night when the Badgers beat Western Kentucky 79-72 in a semifinal game in Madison.
The Badgers will be on the road for Saturday's title game, playing at Wyoming which beat Kansas State 89-79 in triple overtime in the other semifinal.
Anderson is the Big Ten's leading scorer this season.
She got 18 points in the second half.
The Badgers made all 20 of their free throws, including eight by Banks and six by Anderson.
Crystal Kelly scored 28 points to lead Western Kentucky.
The Badgers were runners-up in the WNIT in 1999 before winning the championship in 2000.
