SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Milwaukee Brewers starter Ben Sheets was scaled back to four-plus innings today in his final tuneup before he takes the mound opening day Monday in Milwaukee against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He allowed two earned runs and eight hits, struck out three and didn't walk a batter in Milwaukee's 8-6 exhibition victory over the San Francisco Giants in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Sheets says he's eager to get the season under way.
The Brewers play their final exhibition game tomorrow against the Angels.
