6 Local teams are still alive for a State volleyball bid, as many as 5 could make it to Green Bay.
DIVISION 1:
DC Everest beat West 3-1. Next up is Eau Claire North Saturday in Chippewa Falls. The Evergreens are looking for the 3rd consecutive trip to Green Bay.
DIVISION 2:
Medford falls to Hayward 3-2. Tomahawk sweeps West Salem 3-0. The Hatchets face Hayward on Saturday in Altoona. The Hatchets have never been to state.
DIVISION 3:
Auburndale beats Marathon 3-2, keeping alive their bid for the school's first trip to State. Next up for the Apaches is Roncalli Saturday in Stevens Point.
DIVISION 4:
Newman was a 3-1 winner over Valley Christian. While Tigerton beat Wausaukee 3-1. That sets up a Newman-Tigerton sectional final Saturday night at Wausau West. The Tigers are looking for their first state bid, while the Cardinals look for a return trip.
Also in D4, Rib Lake was a 3-0 winner over Northwood. They'll face McDonell Central Saturday in Augusta. The Lady Redmen, too, are looking for their first state bid.
