MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Jolene Anderson scored 22 points to lead Wisconsin to a 67-61 victory over Kentucky and into the quarterfinals of the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
Janese Banks added 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Badgers, while Danielle Ward had 10 points and nine rebounds in last night's game in Madison.
Wisconsin outrebounded Kentucky 54-35 and won despite shooting just over 30 percent from the field.
Kentucky didn't shoot much better, making just over 35 percent on field goal tries and only two of 12 from 3-point range.
Samantha Mahoney scored 13 points to lead Kentucky.
The Badgers advance to a quarterfinal game Sunday against Virginia which beat South Florida 73-71 in another third-round game.
Sunday's game is in Madison.
Wisconsin's record is 21-12.
