MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Bobby Simmons can't play basketball this year, so he's trying to score points with his doctor for being an attentive patient.
Mostly because he never wants to go through a serious injury rehabilitation ever again.
Simmons is rehabilitating from two recent surgical procedures on his ailing right foot and ankle.
He recently got clearance from his doctor in the Los Angeles area to travel back to Milwaukee and cheer up his teammates.
Simmons admits he's bored at times, and can't wait to get back on the court next year.
But he's not going to push his body past the exercise limits his doctor has placed on him, saying, quote, "I don't want him cutting on me any more."
