Former Badgers standout goaltender Brian Elliot is on his way to the NHL.
Today Elliot agreed to a contract with the Ottawa Senators, according to the team.
Elliot will depart to Binghamton, New York to join the Senator's minor league affiliate there.
The senior ended his career in Madison as the all-time leader in career shutouts, goals against average and save percentage.
He also owns the single season mark in all three.
Elliot will be be known for backstopping the Badgers 2006 national championship team.
Several other Badgers are expected to sign NHL contracts in the coming week.
