HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- In women's hoops, Wisconsin-Green Bay used a huge second-half run to keep its big winning streak alive yesterday.
Nicole Soulis scored 15 points and the ninth-seeded Phoenix opened the second half with a 20-to-five spurt to beat Number Eight New Mexico in the first round of the Fresno Regional.
With the victory, Wisconsin-Green Bay extended its winning streak to 26 games.
New Mexico led 29-26 at the break and scored the first basket of the second half.
Wisconsin-Green Bay then ran off the next 11 points.
New Mexico got within seven with about five minutes left but got no closer.
Wisconsin-Green Bay will face top-seeded Connecticut tomorrow night.
