ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -- The Washington Redskins have released kicker John Hall after three consecutive injury-hampered seasons.
The move was expected, given all of the former University of Wisconsin star's health problems, plus Shaun Suisham's emergence as his replacement last season.
The 32-year-old Hall played in 39 games for the Redskins from 2003 through 2006, missing more than two dozen outings over that time.
Hall has made 203 of 272 field goal attempts during a 10-year NFL career that began with the New York Jets.
Suisham went 8-for-9 on field goals for Washington last season.
