MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Anna Weddig scored 15 points, pulled down nine rebounds and blocked four shots today as Merrill beat Milton 54-43 in the Division One quarterfinals of the state high school girls basketball tournament.

Starter Jenny Dahm went to the bench after she picked up her second foul just 48 seconds into the game, and Weddig sparked the Bluejays as they improved their record to 21-3.

The Red Hawks never led and fell to a 17-7 mark.

Kassi Blumer, Milton's center, also had foul problems and was limited to nine minutes after being assessed three fouls in the first half.

But she was able to score 19 points for the losers.
