The Wisconsin Valley Conference will be well represented in the Division One girl's basketball state tournement.

Of the eight teams left playing, two are from the Valley - Merrill and Antigo.

These two teams are continuing the legacy of a traditionally strong league.

Today was the Blue Jay's last practice before making the trip down to Madison.

Merrill plays Milton Thursday at 1:35 p.m.

Meanwhile, Antigo set goals at the beginning of the season to win conference, and wanted to take everything else one game at a time.

Getting to state for the first time in school history was something they were thinking about, but to actually do it is another.

Making school history is certainly something that has been on the girls' minds, and they know that their town will be behind them.

The Red Robins play on Thursday against Milwaukee Vincent who is going to state for the first time, as well.
