MESA, Ariz. (AP) -- The Brewers have replaced Tony Graffanino at first base for today's spring training game against the Chicago Cubs at Mesa.
Graffanino fouled a ball off his left big toe in the first inning of yesterday's game.
The underside of his toe nail filled with blood.
So in the trainer's room later, they drilled the nail to release blood and relieve the pressure.
The Brewers put Vinny Rottino at first today.
