MILWAUKEE (AP) -- J.J. Hardy hit a two-out, two-run double in the eighth, and Trevor Hoffman and the Milwaukee Brewers' bullpen held on this time to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-3 on Saturday night.
Mike Burns (2-2) struck out a career-high seven and drove in a run to win for the second time in his career, but he needed four scoreless innings from relievers Seth McClung, Todd Coffey and Hoffman after the bullpen had blown one-run leads in each of the past two games.
Frank Catalanotto homered for the Brewers. Rafael Furcal and Andre Ethier hit back-to-back shots for the Dodgers (55-32), who are 5-3 on their nine-game trip and will have the best mark in the majors at the All-Star break regardless of what happens Sunday.
