Green Bay Mayor James Schmitt says it's time to move on the matter, citing an advisory referendum in 2000 which favored the naming rights 53 to 47 percent.

Revenue from the naming rights would help sunset the half-percent sales tax in Brown County, but renaming Lambeau would be at odds with the Packers renovation plan, preserving the legacy of Lambeau Field.

Proceeds of a naming rights deal would be shared 50-50 between the city and the Packers under the agreement.
