The WIAA State Volleyball Tournament begins on Thursday. In Division 1 the Merrill Blue Jays, with a 41-3 record, will face Muskego.

After heartbreaking losses the last two years in the sectional finals, a win last Saturday against Marshfield punched their ticket to Green Bay.

And while Merrill is a relatively young team, this bid is very special to the five seniors on the squad who played under the late Sally Pfund their freshman season.
