Last Monday, Green Bay Packers punter Derrick Frost appeared to be a guy who knew his days are numbered if he didn't improve his performance. Entering play Monday night, he ranked 15th in the NFL in gross average (44.9) and net (37.9).
After two poor games, Frost, who was signed the week of the season opener to replace Jon Ryan, said his approach might be to ratchet up the pressure on himself.
Though Frost is coming off two poor games, coach Mike McCarthy gave no indication that he intended to make a change. McCarthy didn't make any excuses for Frost's performance in the 30-21 loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday, but he said it was indicative of the way things went for the entire special teams unit.
