The Wisconsin Woodchucks say $2.7 million renovation project of Athletic Park is expected to be completed for the 2014 baseball season.
According to a new release from the City of Wausau and the Woodchucks, the renovation will be paid for entirely by private funds.
The project will update the seating areas and concession stands. They will also be installing a press box as well as several luxury boxes.
The city and the Macdonald family have agreed to develop a neighborhood park adjacent to the stadium The Macdonalds will donate two residential properties along North 5th Street and $20,000 toward the development of the park.
