Charter Communications says it's struck a deal with the Big Ten Network. A company spokesman says it will be included in the cable company's expanded basic level of service.
The Big Ten Networks' Vice President of Communications, Elizabeth Conlisk tells NewsChannel 7 their goal is to be available on Charter before this Saturday's Big Ten Openers, including Wisconsin's game against Akron.
Conlisk says it's a multi-year deal between the Big Ten Network and Charter, although specific details are not being made available.
A deal was reached earlier this week with Time Warner Cable, and Conlisk says Charter was the last of the major cable companies they were able to strike a deal with.
