MILWAUKEE (AP) -- He hits home runs, he throws complete games - is there anything CC Sabathia can't do?

The newest Brewer won his second game in as many NL starts, pitching Milwaukee to a 3-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds Sunday.

He also hit a homer off Reds starter Homer Bailey in the third inning. It was his third career home run and second this season.

The only runs he gave up were sacrifice flies in the second and third. He struck out nine batters, including all three in the ninth.

The game was tied at 2 in the ninth when Craig Counsell hit a game-winning sacrifice fly off former Milwaukee closer Francisco Cordero.

With the win, the Brewers avoided a three-game sweep to end the first half of the season.

The complete game was Sabathia's fourth of the season and 20th of his career.
