HALIFAX, Nova Scotia (AP) -- Former University of Wisconsin star Dany Heatley scored the winning goal with less than a minute remaining to lift Canada to a 5-4 victory over the United States at the world hockey championships.

It was Heatley's second goal of the game Tuesday at Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The victory kept the Canadians unbeaten after three games, while the Americans fell to 2-1.
