A local New York Giants player says winning the Super Bowl is something you can only dream of.
Rich Seubert was welcomed home to Rozellville today with the unveiling of 4 signs that will be placed on the outskirts of town. They say Rozellville is the proud home of the NFL player and Super Bowl Champion.
Seubert said, "People told me I was too small. That I wouldn't pick it up. If you stop believing if you stop trying you wont do it, but if you keep on going and give it all anything is possible. Just look at myself - who would've thought that a little kid from Rozellville, WI would've won the Super Bowl."
Now that Seubert has achieved one of the biggest accomplishments, he's working on raising $1 million to be donated in the name of his grandmother for hear research to the Marshfield Clinic.
His says his grandmother has been an inspiration to him, especially since she received a heart transplant 20 years ago. Celine Seubert says even though he is a big football star, "He is still just Richie."
One event is the Rich Seubert Celebrity Trap Shoot, Saturday April 5, at Eau Claire Rod and Gun Club, Eau Claire. He says he plans on bring some of his teammates from the New York Giants to help out.
If you would like more information on the event, you can contact the Marshfield Clinic Development Department at (715) 389-5146.
